After the launch of its (ionising) radiation monitor, Aranet has just recently launched its next monitor, the Aranet Radon Plus.
This monitor can be preordered for $189. It shares quite a few similarities with other Aranet monitors, but it also has a few key differences.
At first glance, this monitor shares the same form factor as the previous Aranet devices (Aranet2, Aranet4 and Aranet Radiation). However, as soon as you turn it around, it’s instantly apparent that it’s much larger. I believe this is due to the need to house a larger radon sensor.
It seems quite pricey, considering that the Aranet Radiation monitor is less than half the price. However, it is comparable to many other higher-end consumer radon monitors, such as the Airthings Corentium and RadonEye.
While it’s hard to judge how well this will perform without any third-party testing, it will undoubtedly integrate well with the Aranet Home app, which is already a strong point for these monitors.
I’m hoping to be able to test one soon!
