I just wanted to pin a thread where you can request reviews if you’re interested in seeing my thoughts on a mask, respirator, air quality monitor, or air purifier on BreatheSafeAir.
If you’d like to see something specific covered, please comment below! Thank you.
Hello! I found about Screek SCO2-1 sensor based on ESPHome and SCD40 with Home Assistant support which is also how I found about their DIY devices because it seems kinda popular on reddit. I was curious if you had any experience with it considering that it’s cheap and comes with good support so it might end up as a good entry level co2 monitor.
@EthanFirst: great website. A lot of good work you do with this website!
The website with the ‘review and overview of sensor stations for mainly indoor air quality’ needs more visitors.
In Holland there are quite a lot of citizen initiatives busy with DIY air quality measurement stations. The national health organisation RIVM is trying to bundle the effords in ‘Samen Meten’ (together we measure) initiative. The work has a relation with some EU sponsored projects. But basically the hard work is mainly done on personal budgets. Yes there is a relation with Sensors.Community initiative in Germany on exchange of measurements.
In order to improve the quality of the measurement stations, stations mainly born from DIY stations, a local inititiative (BWLvC.eu, website is in Dutch) started with the help of other inititiative to work on a ‘warenonderzoek’ (consumer overview) of outdoor targeted airquality measurment stations for PM emissions. See ‘low-cost fijnstof meetstations, een warenonderzoek’ for more details of the draft document. The document is in Dutch.
For more work in progress of data analitics as what is happening in the agricultural environment where I live in, see e.g. ‘Three years of measurments, what now?’. The document is also about what did we learn from building the stations, data acquisition, data analytics and visualisation of data. The document is in Dutch: try a translation service.
