A few days ago, I finished my review of the Qingping Air Monitor. In the article, I discussed every aspect of this new indoor air pollution monitor, and it became one of my most positive reviews on this website. The device is a great package, and the price point gives the Qingping Air Monitor a fantastic value proposition for customers. However, the Air Monitor isn’t the only product in Qingping’s air monitoring lineup. While it’s currently the top model on offer, it’s not the most popular. That award goes to the Qingping Air Monitor Lite – a device with a…
I just came across this very cool app for the Qingping Air Monitor Lite:
While it costs a few dollars, it pulls data from the QP API and allows you to add widgets to your Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, or even Mac. I’m a big fan of air quality monitors with widgets, as they allow me to quickly see an overview of my air quality at a glance. If you’re interested, you can read the App developers overview here:

I’ve used the Qingping Air Monitor Lite for a few months now.
Pros
Accurate PM2.5 & CO2 readings (according to both personal tests & official ones). The latter can be easily recalibrated in the Qingping app if needed.
Cons
Temperature is always 2° too high (but in the Qingping app you can offset the readings if you so wish) and it’s slow to react (like if you take it outside when it’s cold). However, I bought it for its good PM2.5 & CO2 performance.
When taking it away from the home wi-fi it doesn’t always reconnect when returning so on a few occasions I had to then delete the monitor in the Qingping app and then re-add it.
NB. If the unit turns off while unplugged then it might be due to the ‘Auto Off While Using Battery’ setting being on something low like 30 minutes, rather than you thinking it’s a poor battery.
Overall I’m very happy with it, its form, its usability and its performance so far
Hi @Biggsytravels,
Thank you for sharing your experiences! It’s these kinds of experiences (after a few months of use) that are the most valuable.
It’s interesting to hear about the temperature inaccuracy. When I reviewed this monitor, I didn’t have a good baseline device to compare it to. However, I do now, so it would be worth repeating this test to see if the higher readings are consistent between devices.
