Portable monitor with ability to turn off Bluetooth/wifi

Hello!

Read through many of the reviews on the website. Thanks to the founder for writing these in depth reviews.

Looking for some guidance as I’m specifically for an indoor monitor, that measures that least the typical 6 items (CO2, humidity, temp, VOCs, PMs) with the ability to store data and turn off Bluetooth/ wifi.

Trying to optimize and minimize radiofrequencies in my room at bedtime.

Goal is to have the data stored and then turn on wifi or Bluetooth and sync with the device when I want to.

It seemed like Temtop M10+ was promising as it says you have to click the back button to turn on Bluetooth. But i clarified with their customer service twice and it seems the default mode is “open” or “On” with no ability to turn it fully off, unless they’re misunderstanding my question. My guess is that the button simply turns on the “find my Bluetooth” feature to connect to it but it’s technically emitting Bluetooth Radiofrquencies consistently.

Of the main top portable home indoor monitors, does anybody have specific experience with ones that can definitely turn off the wifi or Bluetooth ?

I can go through each one and email their customer service but trying to avoid this.

Thanks in advance !

Hi @Joekim312,

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you’ve found the site helpful. I apologise for the delay in replying - I was on vacation for the past week and it’s taken me a while to catch up with everything!

I had a few monitors in mind, but it becomes tough if all of those pollutants/parameters are needed. At first, I thought the PurpleAir Zen could be a good choice (it can store data to an SD card, but I’m unsure if WiFi can be fully turned off - we’d have to ask PurpleAir that), but it only measures PM and VOCs. A few other devices that could work, unfortunately, only measure one or two of the parameters you mentioned.

air-Q could be an option as they cover all of the parameters and have an SD card slot, but I’m also unsure if WiFi/BT can be fully disabled on these devices. I think they may be the most promising choice, and I think they’re worth contacting. Unfortunately, these monitors aren’t portable, but if you don’t mind a static device they may be a good choice!

Would you consider two devices to cover all of the mentioned pollutants? If this was the case, I believe it may be easier to make some suggestions.
