I just made an X (Twitter) thread about perhaps my favourite series of air quality monitors that I feel aren’t talked about enough. I am talking about the CO2 Click (although perhaps the name should be a bit broader now?) from https://co2.click/.
The CO2 Click range of air quality monitors is quickly expanding, but they are consistent in their key strengths. Namely:
- Using consistently using high-quality sensors
- Having excellent connectivity and a unified dashboard (minus the standalone monitors such as the Model F)
- Being well-supported with updates
Images from the CO2 Click dashboard.
Here is a brief overview of the monitors currently available from CO2 Click.
The Model C is a WiFi-enabled monitor with an internal battery with one of the best consumer-grade CO2 sensors. There is also the Model D, which is slightly cheaper but without the connectivity. I used the Model C for a couple of years now, and it’s one of my favourite CO2 monitors.
The ‘bubblegum’ like Model F is a great monitor if you prefer a more portable CO2 monitor (but it lacks web-dashboard connectivity). It’s significantly cheaper, and its battery is enough to get through a day of work or school. It also uses an accurate Sensirion sensor. I’m currently in the process of reviewing this monitor.
However, you’re still in luck if you want to monitor more than just CO2! The Model E and Model G are more comprehensive indoor air quality monitors capable of monitoring PM, CO2, VOCs and more. Both of these monitors are also WiFi-enabled.
Here is my Model G review (I have not yet tried the Model E): https://breathesafeair.com/co2-click-model-g-review/
Perhaps my favourite monitor is the Model X, an outdoor air quality monitor. At around $150 (USD), this monitor is far cheaper than similar options from PurpleAir, and it has a sensor that I prefer to use. For comprehensive insights, this can be paired with an indoor monitor.
While there are a few other monitors also available from CO2 Click, these are my current favourites. If you’re looking to use multiple (different types) of air quality monitors around your house, this brand is definitely worth checking out!
