Is Anyone Else Dealing with Bad Air Quality?

Hello everyone,

I have been noticing the air quality in my area getting worse lately my allergies are acting up, and I have had mild headaches and fatigue indoors. Apps like QAir and AirNow show AQ levels often in the unhealth range, likely due to pollution or wildfire smoke.

I have started using a hepa air purifier and keeping windows shut, but it still feels off.

Anyone else experiencing this? Got any tips for staying safe or improving indoor air?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for joining the forum! This is a tough question to answer, but hopefully I can help provide some insight.

Are your allergies being triggered indoors (and could be caused by indoor pollutants like pet dander), or do you think they are triggered by outdoor pollutants entering your home? I ask because the actions you should take could be quite different depending on the source of the allergens.

Do you have an air quality monitor?

My first guess regarding the mild headaches and fatigue would be that those are caused by excess carbon dioxide (especially if you’re keeping your windows shut) but it’s hard to tell without knowing the levels.
