Hello! I am curious about your thoughts re: Airvalent TravelLite versus the Airspot! I am having trouble deciding which to purchase as a newbie to CO2 monitoring as a safety tool.
Hi @jadeandjasmine,
Thanks for joining and sorry for my late reply. This is a great question as these are both fantastic monitors. Based on my experience with the monitors, these are the biggest pros for each:
AirSpot
- Quite a bit smaller
- More user settings (you have much more control over fine-tuning aspects like the alarms)
- More detailed screen that can show historical CO2 concentrations, too.
TravelLite
- A bit cheaper
- Feels significantly more durable
- Shows temperature & RH alongside CO2 concentration
Both monitors share the same CO2 sensor, so there is no accuracy difference between the two.
In my mind, the AirSpot devices feels a bit more like an enthusiast device (that is a bit more complicated to use, but that has a lot of settings that can be adjusted) whereas the TravelLite is a bit simpler to use, but offers a better user experience. Both devices cover the basics well, and I don’t think you can go wrong with either, but that is probably the main difference I would highlight between the two.
Please let me know if you have any further questions! I would be happy to help.
