Airspothealth CO2 Monitor

Airspothealth is a relatively new company in the CO2 monitor niche that has decided to try to create the most portable carbon dioxide monitor on the market. While I’ve only had mine for a few days, I think they may just have achieved this!

To give you an idea of just how small this device is, here is an Aranet4 Home and two of the smallest carbon dioxide monitors I’ve tested so far - the AirValent and AirValent TravelLite monitors.

Keeping in mind that my Airspot monitor is in a case, you can see just how tiny this device is. While there may be a few smaller devices on the market, none come with a built-in battery and connectivity (to my knowledge). It’s really amazing what the ultra-small SCD4x sensors from Sensirion have allowed manufacturers to create.

While I write my full review, I thought it would be interesting to share a few initial thoughts on this device. Firstly, I can’t get past just how portable this device is! On top of this, since it’s so small, it can work with a range of accessories like keychains (seen below), and you can even purchase a watch strap for the device! Super cool!

There is also a phone case/wall mount case available.

While I haven’t yet been able to test accuracy, this device uses an SCD4x sensor, so it is bound to perform well. It also allows for manual calibration, which is much appreciated.

One downside that I did notice is that the monitor itself feels a bit cheap. On one hand, this is great because it means the device is very lightweight, but it also feels a bit fragile. I don’t think this will bother most users, but I did notice it straight away.

As for an upside - I found the app extremely easy to set up, and while I haven’t had a chance to really delve into it yet, it also looks quite powerful yet easy to use. I’m looking forward to using this some more!
