AirFanta G2 Review - An Inexpensive Air Quality Monitor

After finishing my review of the AirFanta 3Pro, I figured it was about time to share my thoughts on another AirFanta device, the G2 air quality monitor. While I usually try to use devices for 2-4 weeks before writing a review to gather my thoughts on the device, I’ve already been using the G2 for around six months, and I think I have a very good feel for how the device works. Over these six months of using the device, I’ve become very familiar with its advantages, disadvantages, and some quirks compared to other air quality monitors on the market. While…

I wasn’t aware of this at the time of writing the review, but it looks like this monitor might be a white labelled product. I was searching on Lazada (similar to Amazon in Southeast Asia) and found the device below listed. This device was selling for 1,150,000 VND, around $47 USD at the time of writing - this was on a half price discount, but it’s vastly cheaper than the AirFanta version. I also found a few other listings for the same monitor.

I then image searched this device on AliExpress and got a ton of results - some even cheaper! While I can’t speak for the performance of these devices (and most of the Ali Express variants in this image are CO2 only - the PM models begin at about $40), it does look like very similar devices can be found elsewhere for cheaper.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this as it may be possible to purchase this device for less than half the price elsewhere.

I bought 2 similar ones from lazada Thailand, which I think are white labelled product of this.

They cost about 1000THB (30USD) each, during Lazada promotion time. I am really enjoy using them, can be linked with Tuya or smartlife app, where I can set up some automation together with my air purifier.

I just bought an Inkbird which has senseair sensor and the CO2 are about 30-100ppm different.

I think its CO2 and PM2.5 reading are good enough as I don’t really need 100% accuracy for taking action.

Wow! That’s much cheaper! At that price point, I think these are a steal. It’s often hard enough to find an NDIR sensor at this price, so to also get a PM sensor is a nice bonus.

You mentioned 30USD on sale - do you happen to know what the typical pricing is for these devices on Lazada?
